About this site

‘Run with endurance’ is a favourite quote of mine from Hebrews 12 verse 1 in the Bible and describes my aspirations for this site. Getting a bit older my appreciation of life as a journey or race with all its twists and turns, joys and sorrows grows. Integral to this journey has been my faith. As a teenager I gave my heart to Jesus. Learning to follow Him has been my light through the years. This relationship has influenced where I have lived, what I did and who I married. I find Him trustworthy even though my steps are often faltering and weak. Finally, running has nearly always been something I have done. As a younger man it was never more than the occasional jog. Then in my late forties I started to take part in marathons. In my 50s something snapped. I started doing longer ‘ultra’ distances and competing as a ‘veteran’ in mountain and trail races. I still love running for long distances. It may not be everyone’s ‘cup of tea’ but, as with many, I have found the discipline a metaphor for life itself.

To distinguish these three themes of life, faith and running separately will be difficult for me so posts and reflections are a mixed bag! If you wish to read more – see ‘Why I Am Blogging

Hi Allan! Are you the Allan Grant I knew when I was at Queensland Bible College 1972-24? If so it would be great if you contacted me. I left Aus 14th oct. 1977 and have been living in Sweden since 1979 which means I’ve been here for…45!yrs and I love it!

Ok even if you are not the Allan I knew, it would be cool to have contact with you..
